"Alexandro you are Great", those are the words that echoed from  my father every time he felt the need to explain his Brave and  Strong son, his odd child out.  It was not that I was Great at  all, quite the contrary.  I possessed no remarkable talents,  amazing gifts, and no rivaled Strong; special in my father's  vocabulary meant different.

It was not that my Father was unkind, he was in fact a  very loving father, and my family shared a closeness that was  uncommon for the time.  However, it was no secret that I was  different from my parents and two brothers.
My mother had found great success as a Medic and over time,  hes hard work had amassed a great fortune that allowed my family  to live a very comfortable life.

They indulged in all the finer things life had to offer.   Wealth, status, and power were all very important things to  them.  They enjoyed entertaining guests well into the morning  hours, feasting and drinking copious amounts of wine.  They  lived their lives to the fullest.  It was expected that my  brothers and I would marry to our parents choosing, our futures  were already planned.

While they indulged in all life had to offer, I retreated to my room to be alone with my thoughts.  When all the liveliness was to much, I took off to Scual's home. he lived in a small cottage down the road from my family's estate. I had been visiting him since I was a child and my parents did not really notice my absence. Scual is the one who first told me about the way of the Geomancer. he told me a story when he was saved by Glacial, one of Geomancers. I was so enamored and intrigued; I listened to him for hours. One night while visiting him, I was thinking about becoming a Geomancer.he told me that I must be patience and need to really respect all of the wilderness, kingdom and people and start to care about another and help them when they are in need and the main thing, is stay Balanced with self. he told me all that he had left behind in order to become who he was. he told me that i'm really capable doing that, becoming a Geomancer. There was no more to say between us that night.  I knew then what I had to do. I left his home that night melancholy over all that had passed and all that was to come.

Back in my room I packed a small bag of my most dear possessions and wrote my family a note telling them I loved them always. When I heard the music and laughter roaring from the ballroom, I crept down the backstairs and made my escape. I never turned around to look back; I knew that I would lose my nerve if I did.  From that, moment on I only looked forward and I know I was just leaving just for seeking and fullfilling my destiny that is to becoming a Geomancer, a new family.
