I set out on a journey recently with fellow Ranger Kilos to scout out the safest path for an upcoming diplomatic visitor. The details of said scouting trip are as follows:

We met just south of the Arctic Village. This would be the final destination of the honored guest.

There were several tall trees further up the path that could also be used for an even better view of the entire area. As we continued to traverse the path we noticed the ogre cave and I suggested we use some of the near dead trees close by to be broken down and used to block off the entrance. I personally havent seen any of the ogres wander out, but you can never be too careful.

As we entered the village area the first thing we noticed was the cliffs nearby that could be used as a proper vantage point for archers. Small traps could be used to waylay any unwanted intruders that would wander too close by chance or not.

The final area we covered was around the actual Inn the guess would be staying at. There are 2 narrow bridges leading to the actual building which itself was surrounded on all sides by water. Freezing over one of the bridges would make it seem passable but we would know otherwise.

Archers could set on top of the building to further prevent access to intruders. With the area around the building mostly open, I suggested bringing in piles of lumber to be used as a possible shelter if attacked.

When all is said and done, we dont expect any attacks to happen, but its always best to be prepared.
