`writ upon a piece of birch bark` "Brigid, keeper of the flame and hearth" the prayer echoing in my mind, softly spoken in that familiar voice. "of the smithy and the forge, of poetry and inspiration" I hear it louder now, more than ever before; the echoes growing instead of fading, like a warning. "Bless us with your healing grace, and grant us strength to overcome any darkness or adversity" I hold that warm bundle close, so close now. I hold onto her as I would my own life. I hold her tight because she IS my life. I wouldn't know what life was without her. "Brigid, we ask for your protection, your guidance, and your blessings. May your light forever shine upon us, and may we always carry your spirit within our souls." Brigid, lady Three mothers, daughter of the Dagda, daughter of the sunrise, I beseech your blessing and offer my devotion that I may have your guidance, your protection; that my daughter have your protection. I humble myself before you, dear lady Godess, and devote myself, everlasting, to you. Ever Devoted, /\/\ina |<azami | |
