This journey would not take me far. I packed a few things in my pack and headed out to the wilderness. I found a secluded spot with a clear view of the sky. I gathered some rocks from the river close by and in the corner of my eye I spotted the Yellow Rabbit. It approached me slowly, I turned slowly towards it. The rabbit froze in its track, and began to back away in fear. "Strange..." I thought to myself, "that's not it's usual behavior". I brought the rocks back to the camp and formed a circle with them. Wood would be next. I took an axe out of my pack and went to the nearby grove to procure some. It took me a minute or two to fell a tree, as it came crashing down I noticed a glint inside the stump, lodged in the middle was a pristine Yellow Amber. "Why the hell would a yellow amber be here of all places?" I took my axe and carefully dislodged it from the stump. As I was inspecting it I heard a sound from behind me. The light thumping of a small animal... scurrying away. My eyes tracked the new sound and saw some foliage being rustled around 20 feet to the north of me. I walked over to inspect what I assumed would be animal tracks, but instead there was a single Fallen Star growing neatly on a dirt patch. I looked around to see if I could spot a druid, when I saw none, I plucked the flower and put it in my pocket. I returned to my camp with the wood I gathered, I laid them evenly and stacked them and started a fire with the flick of my fingers. The sun had gone down at this point, and I laid down near my fire and gazed into the sky, the stars had begun to come out. They twinkled in the night sky, slowly forming a shape.... a small rabbit? As I stared at it, I heard words echo in my mind "Let go...." I reached into my pockets, to grasp the Fallen Star. To my surprise when I pulled it out, I had multiple Fallen Stars in my hand. I looked at them in the moonlight for a while taking in their beauty. I heaved a sigh and tossed them into the fire. The smoke which was neatly rising into the sky began to swirl, the smoke coalesced and formed the shape of a lotus. As quickly as the shape formed, it dissipated soon after. I drifted to sleep... | |
