In today's scouting trip to the Islets outside of Buya, I learned the importance of making sure a bridge is secured before crossing it, due to the natural weathering effects on the materials made in construction. I tripped on a loose stone while crossing, but thankfully, nobody saw, so it didn't count. Also, you can secure a location not just with a lock and key, but by installing trps and wildlife around the area to naturally guard the place. I also learned you can use steam and heat to bend wood to craft a bow for use of self-defense and securing dinner.

My favorite part was learning how to track an animal (or person). My favorite technique involved a distraction tactic to turn the attention of my target away while I snuck up downwind through the foliage. This worked on the Ranger guide herself, as well as a doe that I pressed into a ravine. I had to let the doe go, though, because I'm a sucker for big brown eyes staring through my soul, except for when they belong to a Rooster.

I rather enjoyed the Ranger Guide and appreciated her efforts in taking us all the way to the Islets. My only complaint was the lack of provided snacks. I think in the future, she should provide trail mix of some sort, with berries and nuts, as incentives to stop talking while she's trying to instruct us on things.
