Good to have finally stepped foot here, at Trapper's. I didn't expect Specty to be so small...or green! Here I'll lay out some transparency, the journey that has brought me here to Paradise. I'm the oldest of four, that I know of...though I've only ever spent time with one, full blood sibling. My old man was a bit of a charmer I suppose and he's made his way around...I should probably mention that he is also a swine. Mother was one for natural order of things. She gave her life to protect my sister and I against enemies from Han when I was still toddling. On a delivery by sea one day - or maybe to have his way again - my old man found our home in ruins, mother dead and my sister and I helpless. So he took us to sea. Life at sea is all of what I remember. Old man was a drunken sailor most of the time and so Pea and I had to grow fast and keep our wits about us. I can whip ropes for sailing, cast an eye over the atomosphere and gauge when tides will turn. I also had a pretty good knack for crossbow fishing! Alas, old man requested that Pea and I set foot to the kingdoms because one of the other offspring wandered off without word to her mother. He suggested we spend some time here too, though now I'm not sure if this is trickery...Stepping off deck, he knocked me unconscious and took my crossbow!! I've not met with Pea since I woke here but I expect she is also aiming for the wilds where the flowers grow best, so certainly I will like to keep close. I much prefer the wilds because of the uneven land...that seems silly to say. My sea legs won't take to the hard paths of the town and capital...My movement feels too firm and rigid there. Here in the wilds my movements feel like the flow of water. There is a natural order here - no political agenda, no army, but kinship. Respect for nature is something I hold dear. To not harm without need, each of us having our own place and purpose in the world. A balance of all. If the natural order is not protected. If these wild lands get turned...pulled into human existence, with paved ways, buildings, armies, royalty...The consequence of this could be detrimental to our very existence, all of us. We need these wild lands. I feel my purpose here is to secure and protect these lands from any invasive developments. I will need to explore a few more skills to be efficient. It is therefore my humble request for your guidance, to teach me the ways of the Ranger so that I may be able to assist these lands with best intentions. With gratitude for your time, patient in waiting >>Ri | |
