I had always thought I would be like a mighty tiger, or a deadly dragon. Something fearless, noble, brave. But, alas, I have come to realize that I am none of those. I am calm, serene, peaceful. I enjoy my surroundings and revel in the plants that grow around me. There is nothing that makes me happier than having a meal under a tree, sitting in the grass, looking around, listening as I chew my food.

I met my animal spirit doing just that in Nagnang one afternoon. I spied a wolf, which alarmed me. I sat quietly, not moving, not even blinking. My heart pounded double-time until the wolf turned and went his own way. I returned back to eating and my attention was captured by a furry little beast staring at me, doing the exact things that I had been doing. What a noble and brave creature. It had sat there in the wolf's presence as I had. As we sat there, it hopped closer, I pretended not to notice. It hopped again and came to a stop beside my knee, where it proceeded to gnaw a bit on my britches. "HEY!" I cried, it stopped, looked at me and wiggled it's nose. I took a bite of my food and offered a bit to the rabbit. We sat there in peace and harmony, quietly enjoying one another's company and my food. It then twitched it's ears my way, sat up on it's haunches and looked at me, looked away and then back. "Thank you for breaking bread with me, good rabbit" It wiggled it's nose, dropped down on all fours and hopped away. The mightly and fearless rabbit. I could want to be nothing more.

Respectfully,
