((If you were to pass through the Northern Wilderness, you would notice a few things: it is quieter than usual, though the various sounds of the Wilderness get louder as you travel further south; the grass, usually soft and lush, seems noticeably drier than usual, thirsty--though, again, if you travel south, the grass seems more hydrated--happier. The last thing you notice is, among the parched grass in the north, lines of dead grass. The lines are sharp, distinct, unnatural. Some of them curve, some of them are straight, some of them intersect, some of them do not touch any other line. Some create shapes. Many of the lines cross the path of the trees of the densely wooded area to the north of Trapper's Paradise, and many of the leaves on those trees have withered as though they have come into contact with high heat, though there is no sign of there having been a fire. If you were to find a higher vantage point, where you can look down at the markings on the ground, you would find that the thickest, most prominent marking in the grass is a large circle that encompasses the wooded area north of Trapper's Paradise and east of the Barbarians Cave. The many lines seem to create something that, if you were mystically inclined, you may feel resembles a sigil, though it either does not look like anything you have seen before, or you are unable to make it out for the trees obscuring a more comprehensive view.)) | |
