Moon Wine is continuously pumped from a reservoir to
the Muse Treehouse, at the steady rate of 1,000 gallons
per hour. Since the consumption varies throughout
the day, the excess (when delivery exceeds demand),
is stored in a wine tower for use when demand
      exceeds delivery.

Daily demand is 24,000 gallons a day.
The number of gallons used during eight consecutive
     three-hour periods is as follows:
      2,000 gallons
     5,000 gallons
     4,000 gallons
     2,500 gallons
     4,000 gallons
       500 gallons
     4,000 gallons
     1,500 gallons
The cycle repeats without change every day.

Assuming Moon Wine is consumed at a steady rate within
each period, what is the smallest capacity for
the wine tower that will allow the demand to always
     be met?

Please include your choice of prize when mailing your answer!

There's no deadline, but only the first person to send the correct answer will win the prize. Because let's face it, by the time the second person solves the clues in a treasure hunt, the treasure's long gone!
