Recently I have come across a few people who did not fully understand how Damaged Orbs work, and what I consider the point of the items. Where do you find the orbs? Inside the tent (Incubator) in Buya gathering What do they cost? Daily coins What is the difference between Damaged Orbs and regular? Aside from the cost, Damaged Orbs reduce your experience gain and drop rate by a large amount. They are also not path specific, so a warrior can get invoke, for example. If you group up with another person, you can't use the Damaged Orbs and when you ungroup, you'll have to wait a tiny bit before you can use them again. (While in group, your exp/drop rate returns to normal) So what is the point of Damaged orbs? To be able to solo quests, trials, alliances etc. Your experience and drop rate will be tanked, but you'll still get credit for boss kills. You'll be able to easily solo the Nagnang shield quest. Ee strength trial, poet restore quest and so on. Damaged Orbs are a way to complete group quests solo. You'll likely need to buy all the items for the quests, as you can't rely on drops. I personally used the Orbs to help with my alliances for sam san when my wife wasn't around. I also plan on using them for Sa trials if I get to that point, however I haven't before and don't know how much of the Sa trials I can complete with Damaged Orbs. To anyone struggling to do quests because they don't have someone else to run them with, I hope this helps! | |
