Seen this come up a couple of times over the last few days Some marked path spells are part of the "dog" path, they require you to have sworn off PC subpaths with your path dog Your clue for these on NA is that these spells do not have alignment names Interestingly this seems to only apply to il and ee - sam and sa spells in the same spell lines seem to be available to everyone (at least, this is true for warriors) Warriors: Just ingresses Mages: Heal spells, the short-term extra curses, volcanic blast (I dimly remember something being done to VB? Was that just the orb?) Rogues: Baekho's rage (useless 5x fury) and ingresses Poets: Just zaps Usually PC subpaths will have similar/equivalent spells, although they may not work exactly the same. It's mostly mages that get caught out by this - we're used to warriors and rogues being required to take a path to reach il, and poets just don't really care about the zaps, but mages do generally need their heal. It's only really poets getting the free ride on this. As an aside, if you find yourself cleansing from just dog without having taken a full NPC path, I'd be interested to hear what that karma hit was like - the more precise the better! | |
