Adding onto what was said, I would always align with the higher totems (rabbit/rooster doesnt matter really both very easy caves) this will make sure your potential enemy creatures are as forgiving as possible and make sure you get the right mythic favors for your sa san spells. Some alliances are easily done in the low caves, but dont go for an easy LA and screw yourself on GA targets stick with the higher of the totem animals.

Dragon-dog, enter dragon2 at 100k and dog3 at 30k mana so killing dog2 bosses and falling in dragon1 is a good fit

Snake-pig, snake2 is 55k mana and pig2 is 40k mana, so falling in snake1 and killing pig1 bosses makes it very easy with mythic1 boss rooms being static.

Sheep-ox, sheep2 at 70k mana and ox2 at 25k ox3 at 110k leaves a lot of room to either killing ox2 bosses before you leave sheep1 for falling or get them before going up into ox2 and have static spawn rooms again in ox1

Horse-Rat, horse3 at 90k mana and Rat3 at 70k mana is somewhat easy to get done around fresh 99 with rat2 fall being the hard part until you bump up into horse2

Tiger-Monkey, tig2 at 85k mana and monkey3 and 20k mana makes another easy one for fresh 99 as long as your still in monkey2 and can manage the tiger fall.

Rooster-Rabbit, rooster3 hits at 50k mana so falling in rab3 is relatively easy and rooster2 bosses arent very difficult but navigating the cave alone can make it more worthwhile to just do it in mythic3's where you can float to bosses and have helpers

Usually can do most  the alliances pretty quickly relative to climbing stats, but there is also something to be said from just hunting up quickly and ghosting thrugh the alliances in all 3 caves. Makes you as an individual at lot less capable of just doing them, but plenty of people killing the stuff and if your saging actively most will be happy to share.
