Because we've had a literal dozen people (or more) asking the Justice Department today, here is a reminder on how the F9 agreement works. F9 is a two-way arrangement, beginning when one party [Person 1] sends notice to a second party [Person 2] that the F9 is beginning. This can be via whisper, speech, or mailed notice, so long as evidence is retained of the issuing - Person 1 will take screenshots of this notice for posterity. When the arrangement begins, all communication between Person 1 and Person 2 ceases. This is including but not limited to, direct speech, sages, mails, whispers, path chat, clan chat, and indirect methods of communication. Examples of indirect methods of communication involve use of proxies (alts of their own, friends, strangers, superiors, hosts, etc), board posts, nmail, writing on the floor, following them around the map, and other ways to attempt to deliberately irritate or intentionally engage with the other person. We stress that this is a two-way arrangement - neither party seeks to communicate with the other in any method. Another note is: <b>An explanation behind why the F9 is issued <b>is not owed nor should be expected. If Person 1 opts to renege the F9 notice (which we do NOT recommend in most cases), we recommend both Person 1 and Person 2 retain a screenshot of Person 1's notice the F9 is being removed. We also recommend both Person 1 and Person 2 retain screenshot documentation at all times. Screenshots should be taken using Scroll Lock, Shift+Ctrl+3, or Shift+Ctrl+4. Snippets and illegit methods of screen capture cannot be used in Justice Dept. matters. The takeaway and goal of the F9 agreement is to cease drama and conflict by issuing a concrete boundary between players, and allow for a peaceful coexistance. There is no guarantee everyone will get along in this community, but we can individually do our parts to decline to engage in conflict. A side note is, the Justice Department is not able to act on cases of communication happening off-game. But, we can walk you through how to block unwanted communication through turning on Discord settings if you need assistance in that. For further questions, please contact the Justice Department.
