There is an entire organization devoted to helping newbies called the Shining Jewel Foundation.

If there are really that many brand new players who need assistance suddenly, then this mythical influx of newbies should try contacting Jolie or Reanalla who are currently the most available.

And they should get into a clan ASAP if not already in one too, since clans also help their members with items.

If someone has been around for more than a few months, then that person could have been attending community events to win money, attending carnages to win prizes, gathering daily coins every day, farming craftables, and so on.

It is not difficult to make at least a few mil each month casually, even while leveling up or doing other things.

Yes, the game will need new players, however it has been around for a very long time. Of course inflation will occur over that time... and while I wish it was not so bad, there are many other things to fix too.

However, this community usually goes above and beyond for new and returning players. It seems like people and organizations jump to help as soon as they find out someone is starting from scratch with free leeches, money and gear, advice, and so on.

Lastly, I take issue with your "Merchants are only out for themselves" comment.

The Merchant Guild spends more on the community through charity, prizes, paying people to sell from booths at MMM, event prizes, etc., than any other organization - period. We regularly spend over 200 million coins per year on the community.

We also take care of one another - our Merchants get paid well and our Guild has shielded them from this event's inflation on many items through our own industriousness of working hard over the past 2 years to stock up our bank for times like these.

As for our individual members and their selling of items to community members: Merchants understand supply and demand. If someone cannot afford the inflation you are talking about with prices that many are selling for, such as say 400-500k for a 95 weapon, then they weren't going to afford the higher prices some sellers ask for to wealthier community members who want the convenience.

And that is the key word - convenience. These items are otherwise farmable, have been stocked up by organizations, and the carnage team has gone nuts hosting bonuses lately to get more of these into the hands of community members... it will just take more time to complete the event then, especially as prices will fall in the following weeks.

Still - how those wealthy people (and even non-wealthy, as most of us have 10m or more in the bank) choose to spend their money is their prerogative. If they are willing to pay millions for a forsaken staff then why should a Merchant not try to earn the best price for their wares?
