Returning OG player DarkMaverick here again. It is my understanding there has not been a new event for some time. Perhaps you are out of ideas for a new event? Perhaps you don't enjoy spending effort into creating new events because they only last a short while, and you would want to focus on creating more permanent content instead which also addresses player complaints about existing aspects of the game, like not enough spawn of mythic bosses for alliances? Well, say no more, because I have an event proposal that will do all three of these things for you. How kind of me, you may say and rightly so. I am a kind person and I have designed this event guaranteed to make all players happy. The event is called The Return of Mythic Battlegrounds. This references the Mythic War event from Yuri 49, from over 20 years ago, where mythic nexus beasts were fighting each other. During this event is a quest to unlock the Mythic 4, 5 and 6 tiers, something which players have greatly desired for many years. There will also be some tweaks to make completing Mythic Alliance quests a fair bit easier while also providing additional areas for players to hunt. I will allow you to focus on whatever lore you want to fine tune for this event, but as a simple outline the plot could be related to ChiZao. Prior event lore established that the Mythic Beasts were created by the Four Totem Guardians and given Trigram keys to protect the seal on ChiZao's tomb. For simplicity sake let's say the power of their elements are going to their heads, and they are recruiting players into their wars. The idea however is that warping to Mythic nexus during this event will instead take the player to this new mythic battleground map for the duration of the event. Now then, for the layout of the event maps. The main map is a hub, a large battlefield map looking like a x10 bigger mythic nexus map, where the sentries of each respective beast are wandering around. In the center, players can still find NPCs to become blessed by the stars. The XP, AC, and Vitality levels of each sentry correlate to their respective Aklak Grounds Bear type. So there are four normal type mobs, and then one mini-boss mob, for each of the 12 mythic beasts, wandering this battlegrounds map, their vita and XP values correlating to Aklak Grounds Bear for the respective tier of event map (10 levels) The battleground map should resemble a much larger mythic nexus, with respective areas that will have entrances to each mythic tier. That is, the maps of existing mythic nexus caves are repurposed for creating mini-dungeons within this large event dungeon map, with the entrances that correlate to where they are located in the original Mythic nexus map. The drops of each mythic beast are the same as they are in Mythic 3, with the following additional normal crafting drop based on Trigram element relationships (eg Heaven and Pond are metal, so Rooster and Rats drop ores and metals, etc) Rooster - Heaven - Ores, Metals Rat - Pond - Ores, Metals, Pig - Mountain - Ores, Metals, Horse - Thunder - Ginko wood Dog - Wind - Ginko wood All other enemies drop their respective original crafting items, so Sheep drop Wool, and everything else drops assorted ambers. So now we've got all the different ancient battlegrounds in one place dropping crafting items. One additional change, related to event, is that each mythic beast drops an item called a mythic essence. So tigers drops Mythic tiger essence, rabbits drop Mythic rabbit essence, etc. These stack up to 999 in player inventory. Enemies have a 1 in 200 chance of dropping an essence item. | |
