There is a whole subsection of the community who truly LOVE those contests. Some of us used to log in just to see what the topic was, and enter. Scrapping them entirely was the wrong response to AI entries. Instead, allowances should have been made, and then the rules changed to allow AI to write. I write my own stuff, but I couldn't care less if I'm writing against AI or a person. If I can't beat AI, I don't deserve to win. Maybe it gives a bit of a leg up to people who are not native English speakers, too. Please bring back the Revels. Please? Pretty please? | |
