Sul Slash is now the mage's primary "vita attack". Rogues have Lethal Strike, Warriors have Whirlwind, mages have Sul Slash.
Warriors and Rogues also have paid orbs. They have the enhanced Whirlwind orb, the enhanced Lethal Strike orb. Mages have a paid orb, too. We have the Mage Heal orb which becomes *vital* in end-game hunting even if you're in a party (because the poet can't spare you any restores and you take too long to heal).
You're basically suggesting that unlike Warriors and Rogues, mages should get *two* paid orbs. You suggest this, because the base path until you're in the top 10 in the power list is insufficient to play the game on par with other paths without it.
I agree with Griselda.
Also, Subchess specified atone for PvE only, not PK. I think we can all agree that mages do *not* need Atone in PK. I feel like Quav's counter-suggestion is a better solution to the problem Subchess brought up anyway.
