Hello! I enjoy the experience envelope system as it feels like a nice workaround to the built-in maximum experience you can hold. I would really like if there was an option to acquire a permanent i.e., non time-limited experience pack. Here are a few random ideas of how that could work, but none of them are meant to be prescriptive as I am sure the develo- pers have a much better sense of what would be healthy or not for the game. 1. Kruna Option ========================================================== This might be the most straightforward option, as it is how packs are sold right now. I'm not sure the right pricing, but the existing packs become more efficient as duration increases. 1 day: 100 kruna per day 7 days: 43 kruna per day 30 days: 24 krune per day So, maybe it could be priced based on how much use you expect a typical player might get, e.g., 1 year, 2 years, etc. 2. Progression System Option ========================================================== Another option could be to take inspiration from the Share Wisdom system. In that system, every so often, you can up- grade your Share Wisdom spell by making a gold contribution. Maybe you could get an experience pack by paying a large sum of gold and then upgrade it periodically. As just an idea of how that could work (numbers are provi- ded mostly as an example): Rank 1: Used Envelope Pack (1 use/day) 1,000,000 gold Rank 2: Envelope Pack (2 uses/day) 2,000,000 gold Rank 3: Stuffed Envelope Pack (3 uses/day) 4,000,000 gold Rank 4: Full Envelope Pack (4 uses/day) 8,000,000 gold Rank 5: Bottomless Envelope Pack (unlimited uses/day) 15,000,000 gold Instead of uses per day, it could also be limited to a certain number of full experience envelopes in your inv- entory and bank at any given time! 2. Achievement/Quest Option ========================================================== A final suggestion for how it could work is that it could be based on an in-game activity. Some possible ideas for this might be: :: The number of minor quests you complete at maximum level :: A special quest line with multiple levels (like Star, Moon, and Sun armor) Similarly to the progression system option, you could have multiple ranks that can be unlocked over time. Any of these ideas can be per-character as well, so that way each character you work on, you can decide if you want to work toward the envelope pack or not based on how much you might want to hunt. Since the envelope packs cost Kruna now, it's totally rea- sonable to stick with Option 1 if it's a big source of revenue! Anyway, thank you for reading my idea! ~*Sapshields*~ | |
