Figured I'd give this one a polish while I had some down time because I really like this idea. <b> The Colosseum I propose that we, as a community, come together and donate our time, money, and resources to building a grand arena attached to the Mythic Nexus. This Colosseum will play host to every Mythic Boss and individuals may enter and duel to the death in a grand spectacle for the crowds to watch and gamble on. Any individual who enters the Colosseum to fight selects a Mythic Boss and, for a nominal fee based on the amount of bosses, upon stepping into the arena will be subjected to a Mythic Boss Rush starting with Rabbit1 and going up to the selected Boss and level with a random selection of item or key boss for each round (with normal drop rates). Here's how I envision the entry fees for this: <b> Entering as a Contestant An arena contestant will pay a base fee and then select additional options they wish to pay for in order to enter and fight solo. Groups are not allowed (20 years ago, yes, but not now). A World Shout announces that a contestant is challenging the Colosseum and begins a ten-minute timer. After the timer expires the doors close, gambling stops, and those inside are asked to make the selections if the contestant selected the crowdfund option. Once that's done, the contestant is warped to the arena and the bosses will spawn immediately upon the death of the previous one(s). Contestant clicks on an NPC to warp out after victory or defeat. Base purchase (solo only): - Mythic 1 - 50k per boss - Mythic 2 - 100k per boss - Mythic 3 - 150k per boss - PK Arena - 100k Options (pay per): - Purchase specific additional boss - Additional Base Fee - Remove boss from roster - Base Fee refund - Spawn X bosses at a time - 50k per +1 increase of X - 100% key/item drop rate - 100k per boss - Crowdfund - Contestant pays 50k base fee and asks the spectators to put their own money in to expand the bosses and options. Player may not make any selections and must fight as the crowd dictates. Crowdfunding may not remove a boss from the roster. <b> Entering as a Spectator Spectators will have to pay a base entry fee of 10k to 100k, depending on how close they want to sit to the action. Before taking their seats, they may place wagers with the doorman. Spectators cannot be grouped and are fully stuck in place until the contestant finishes their run at which point they are dismissed from their seats back to the doorman where they may collect the winnings from their wagers. Chat is fully enabled in the arena area because cheering and smack-talk are part of the fun of this! Wagers may be placed on - number of bosses defeated, time taken, key vs. item boss spawns, drops, damage taken/dealt, equipment duration in specific slot at the end of everything, and a bunch of other things that I will leave to the community to fill in and the statisticians to calculate the variable odds of each one for each contestant because I'm just the idea person for this one here. | |
