Past Royal Ministers of Koguryo Royal Peace Ministers: Patalie (Yuri 16 - Yuri 23): Minister Patalie was the first Royal Peace Minister and very little is actually known about her leadership and time in office. It is understood that she worked quite closely with King Yuri, primarily as a Royal Advisor. It is believed she did most of her work behind the closed doors of the palace, keeping her time in office shrouded under a vale of secrecy. (He served for 7 years.) Sayuri (Yuri 23 - Yuri 32): Minister Sayuri was arguably the most successful Minister of Peace for Koguryo. Since she was the Minister responsible for bringing an end to the Buya-Koguryo War (Y27), through a treaty that has served Koguryo very well since the war. (She served for 9 years.) Weltal (Yuri 32 - Yuri 47): Minister Weltal's term is largely remembered for that fact that he served for the most part dealing with the aftermath of the Buya-Koguryo War and the Treaty that ended the conflict. Weltal spent most of his time as Minister healing the great rift which was formed due to war between the two great Kingdoms. He was also the Minister that dealt with the God War, representing Koguryo's interests, as well as the continuing Sohni threat and he is also responsible for the long lasting Buya-Koguryo Alliance that was signed during his premiership. Weltal was also the Minister responsible for building the Royal Kugnae Baths. (He served for 15 years.) Muckish (Yuri 47 - Yuri 60): Minister Muckish was one of the longer serving Ministers of Peace and perhaps one of the better known ones. However, unlike his predecessors he is not famed for his work in the diplomatic field as Koguryo experienced a widespread period of peace during his mandate. Although, he was Koguryo's first official to deal with the opening of the Nagnang borders to Koguryo's south and he also worked quite closely with his Buyan counterparts in reaching a solution against the frequent Barbarian raids. However, he is perhaps better known for bringing his ministry into the public eye, for from Yuri 48 to Yuri 52 the Royal Culture Ministry fell under his jurisdiction and was perhaps the highlight of his time in office. As during this period he hosted King Yuri's Golden Jubilee, distributing 7 Seven-leafs and hundreds of wind-toys, he presided over much of the festivities and returned King Yuri to the public's view. Yuri 50 brought along with it Koguryo's slogan, "Onwards, Azure Koguryo!". Coincidently, he was also the Minister responsible for the construction of the Royal Coliseum and its atrium in Yuri 58. (He served for 13 years.) Sidious (Yuri 60 - Yuri 61): Minister Sidious took on the Royal Peace Ministry following Minister Muckish's resignation; however he found the position overwhelming and in less than two full years resigned from the post. (He served for 1 year.) KoyaSoto (Yuri 61): Minister KoyaSoto's term was also quite short, less than a full Yuri. However, he is responsible for the arrangements with Minister Starrbrite in the formation of the new Royal Ministry. He also later served under Royal Minister Starrbrite as Koguryo's first Ambassador. (He served for less than 1 year.) Royal Culture Ministers: Universe (Yuri 16 - Yuri 23): Minister Universe was Minister before the Great shift and only very few members of the community ever met him or knows much about him. (He served for 7 years.) Keichi (Yuri 23 - Yuri 41) Minister Keichi was the Minister following the Great shift and also a long serving one. He is perhaps one of the better known Ministers, as his Ministry was responsible for the creation of the Koguryo Newspaper, the first Ice soccer game, and the first Subpath fair. Minister Keichi was also on the Ssaurabi (Mhul's elite guards) and married to the first Editor of the Koguryo News, Belledandi. (He served for 18 years.) | |
