The crown had never before felt heavier upon the new King. The times moved swifter than before and the attention of the Royal courts had taken many hours of the Kings time of the burning candles. Perhaps it was for the best, for it kept his mind occupied  from the nightmares of his fathers death. Although, a death proclaimed natural in its manner, the passing of King Yuri did nothing but add to the further aching of King MuHyuls already broken heart.

King MuHyul has always been a loved man, but not a man who has loved for everlasting. For after his crowning he looked upon the celebrating streets of Kugnae and at the coloured ribbons and lanterns that decorated the whole kingdom, so bright it was that even the heavens looked down and smiled at it's attraction. It would be hard amiss that just a short time before had been a time of grey and blackness as King Yuri's body was laid to rest. But King MuHyuls convictions are strong, strong as his fathers and because of that the Tri-kingdoms stand solid and firm like a stone weathered into the soil.

There would be many trials for the new King to come and trials he passed with his resolve for peace and tranquility not just for the his kingdom, but for all kingdoms. There would be fights with pirates who moored the shores with a hundred looters and pillager. There would be also diplomatic trials with those from heaven and a marriage to a mortal man. But never did he falter, nor did his smile get pushed from his face.

But all think of these trials as accomplishments, the making of a King and the successful direction that he leads through the land. I suppose to most, and even in part some truth could be held in that statement. But, trials of the outer body is nothing compared to the trials of ones inner self, and for nearly forty summers King MuHyul has carried a burning feeling of emptiness and loneliness that we never see betrayed by his caring attitude. For some, the first knowledge of his inner self came from the meeting and exchange of diplomacy with Father Time. As the King spoke candidly about his one love, one lost love.

It was this exchange of conversation that made many people realise that the King was not just the King, or an Angel that was deemed fit enough to run the lands and see it through a grand age of peace and prosperity. They also saw in him what many see in themselves. A person, a mortal man of both flesh and of blood.

For those who had hoped to read this scripture of tales and deeds done of King MuHyul and his efforts with heroes of the lands and triumphant achievements shall be disappointed, for these are simple actions made from choices be they bad or good. But none of which help identify which makes a good King. They do nothing but embellish tales of greatness that any bard could sing to you as you down your tankard within the Taverns. Or to over hear stories told from fathers to sons as they fish for the daily supper. It is always hard to distinguish what builds greatness, for how can one person truly know another without love, or how could one even know themselves completely?

It is for this reason I shall tell you the secret to success, to the greatest key of being a great King. It is tragedy. It is pain. Be it your mother, your father or even your lover lost to the vaults of passing time. Be it a Kingship never passing the smile that guards your heart as the noise of the room only amplifies your self loneliness. Be it your chamber with a single candle burning but the bed cold and empty. Be it the laughter of children who call those mum and dad with such joy but bow their eyes to you upon passing.

It is a burden to carry but a burden carried knowingly; for King MuHyul took his tragedy and he made it his resolve. He used his pain to help protect those from the pain he had felt and so his mother became the land, his father became his kingdom and his lover became the people.

Sacrifice oneself for all that you love and that you wish to protect.
