-The Greatest Warrior- There was once a warrior whom knew no rival. He was as fast as a cheetah and as strong as a bear. Challengers came from the four corners of the world, but none could equal the warrior' skills. One by one, they fell under his mighty blade. Yet, the warrior was a kind and just soul and avoided killing his opponents at all costs. After the battle, he would even invite the vanquished to feast in his hut. Neighbors would then hear roaring laughter echoing through the night. One day, a gigantic snake started to ravage the land. Dozens of fighters tried to prevent this destruction, but the huge monster was unstoppable. Hundreds of innocent lives were lost, as the serpent crushed village after village. Word of the slaughter reached the warrior's ears. He decided to go and stop the senseless carnage himself. Numerous fighters sought to accompany him, but he refused: this was something only he could do. He set off the next day and traveled for many days before arriving on a plain with the snake resting. It was a terryfing creature, as high as five men, with giant fangs protruding from it's jaw. With dazingly speed, it darted forward. The warrior moved just in time and unsheathed his sword. The snake sprang forward and again the warrior dodged, but this time, he was ready and inflicted a cut on the snake's side. The serpent hissed in rage, but the warrior knew he couldn't hurt him seriously through it's scales. The monster attacked again, but the warrior stayed still, knowing full well this was going to be the last strike. At the last second, the warrior jumped forward with a deep battle cry. The sword ripped apart the snake's throat as the fangs went deeply in the warrior's chest. The snake hissed in agony and with one last effort, the warrior pulled himself out, both crumbling on the ground. The threat was gone and with his last breath, the warrior said: "May my sacrifice help preserve all." He was the greatest warrior. Fierishmage | |
