"Argh, I don't have the time for this!" Pulled my sleeves up, and took a few steps back.. <b> Hellfire! A firey blast swept through the pass, melting the ice, and turning everything into a watery mess. Without thinking, I ran through as fast as I could. Oh, what a mistake that was.. As I then ended up gliding on the slippery surface before falling and twisting my ankle. I crawled over to the nearest branch and grabbed hold of it, using it to pull myself up. With one quick motion, I snapped the branch off the tree and carried it with me as a sort of walking stick. There was no time for me to rest, for my brother's life is at stake. I continue on my way up Du Mountain. I quickly jump behind a rock as I heard loud footsteps and talking. "Smash house good!" I hear one of them say. It was no doubt, the ogres. Yet, they were heading away from my brother's house. <b> "Smash house good?" <b> "Was I too late..?" <b> "What of my brother?" Thoughts shot through my mind like elixir arrows. But I knew I had to go see for myself. I waited till the ogres had passed. Then I took a deep breath and made my way towards the house. The house was torn apart. I saw my brother laying there attempting to pull himself up and as I was about to rush over, I noticed a single Flurry ogre, with club in hand. It must've stayed behind to finish the job. Well, I don't think it noticed me yet. I tightened my grip on the branch I was carrying and closed in on it. "Flurry ogre?" I said under my voice. "Eat my FLURRY of attacks!" I exclaimed! As it turned around, I gave a good clean hit right to it's head, smashing open his skull. Followed by many more until it fell to the ground, sending it's brains splattered all over the floor. "Brother Goh! Still alive?" I asked jokingly. Goh let out a few weak coughs and a chuckle. "Let's just get out of here" He replied. I helped him up and we cautiously made our way down that mountain, avoiding all possible places where we'd run into more ogres. We had made it safely to Haeng Tavern where we rested and treated our wounds. Zelos | |
