,." Her Spirit - The Phoenix. ". Hair draped around her cerise eyes, shadowing her face in mystery; it was a vivid crimson red, with golden hued strands tangled around the back in a single braid. She wore clothes that were unfamiliar and exotic to the area - A long, vibrant blouse covered the extent of her body, hugging her skin firmly; intricate designs of flora and natural scenery were embroidered along the sleeves of the blouse, enhancing the golden tones of her skin. Each step she took was balanced, and beautifully maintained. Men peered at her through adoring eyes, she was picturesque to the area: Completely, and utterly perfect. During the time this woman was around, however. War had broken out through the Kingdoms. Fire engulfed innocent's homes, and families were slaughtered mercilessly by the nomads whom were travelling through the region. ~-~- "Miss, you cannot stay here any longer! Your safety is at risk!" A dark haired man, with piercing sapphire eyes bawled at the crimson beauty. The woman stared at him in uncertainty, not a single word was released through her lips. In the moment, she flicked a singled hand up, gesturing towards the door and wandered gradually towards it without a single possession in hand. "Mi-Miss!" the man shouted out after her once more, "What are you doing?!" he reached in attempt to grab at the woman's shoulder, but stumbled forward in failure as she glided angelically away. The war continued to burn through the Kingdoms that day, and it is one I shall never forget. I was only young during the time, but the memories have been etched into my mind, and shall forever stay there, securely in their own place. It would have been late in the evening, when I stumbled out my front door as I saw the crimson lady saunter past our shed. A fearless expression spread across her face as she came closer, and closer towards the fighting. I was curious of what she was doing, so I pursued after her, dwelling within the shadows as she stumbled upon a bunch of rugged looking men, with their blades in hand. She stopped in her steps, and glared at a single man with an unspeakable rage. The man instantly felt her energy, and charged at her, the handle of his sword gripped right into his palm, preparing to slay the woman; the rest of his group standing back, bellowing chaotic laughs. Within the second of plunging his sharpened blade into her, a sudden burst of light consumed and area, and blinded my eyesight temporarily. Cries from the men sounded, following after them the thudding of bodies hammering the ground with force. Soon, the beams of light dulled down, and all I could distinguish was the outline of the group of men, lying motionless upon the dirt. I sat hushed within the shadows, unable to identify any figure that could belong to the woman. My mind shrivelled in anticipation until I heard it - The piercing squawk, echoing in the sky from a massive, crimson and golden feathered bird. It flapped it's wings, and took off with such speed towards the far mountain ranges, a single one of its cerise eyes gleaming in the setting sun's luminosity, as it seemed to stare back at me. Until this very day, I am still unsure of where this bird is from, or if it truly was the spirit of that one woman. Legend has it, that the creature in description, a Phoenix; can live for thousands of years. Perhaps, I may be given the chance to meet with this soul once again in the future. ... Who knows.
